1820s Georgian 15K Gold Pearl Surround Mourning Hair Ring

Acquired in the UK, an amazing c. 1820 Georgian pearl mourning ring. The ring is crafted in 15k yellow gold with a lustrous split pearl halo around the center compartment which holds a memento of woven hair under crystal.

What is so special about this ring is that the lustrous pearls go around the entire band. That is quite rare.

The ring measures approx. 9.7 mm from north to south at the center front. Ring is a US size 6.5. Total weight is 3.7 grams.

This elegant, beautifully crafted ring is two hundred years old and is prized Georgian piece. Stunning!
