1926 Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco Crested Food Cover

Lovely 1920s silver plated food cover from the historic Mark Hopkins Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill. This piece is part of a collection that was acquired from a former chef at the Mark Hopkins.

The cover has the notable and beautiful 1920s raised crest on the lid.

It has polished up beautifully and has a mirror-like patina. Nice condition with some small dings commensurate with age. Quite a heavy, solid piece.

It measures 12" long by 8-1/4" wide and stands approx. 3" tall.

Manufactured by Gorham and stamped, "Mark Hopkins 1926."
