1940s Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco Food Cover

Lovely 1940s silver plated food cover from the historic Mark Hopkins Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill.

This piece is part of a collection that was acquired from a former chef at the Mark Hopkins. The cover an MH on the side and a very fancy rim. It has polished up beautifully and has a mirror-like patina. Nice condition with some small scratches and dings commensurate with age.

Quite a heavy, solid piece. It measures 12-1/4" long by 9" wide and stands approx. 4" tall.

Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "Mark Hopkins". Date mark is 1948.
