1940s New York Central Lines, Railroad Teapot

Collectible 1940s silver plate teapot from the New York Central Lines.

The New York Central Railroad (reporting mark NYC) was a railroad primarily operating in the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. This would have been used on the dining car.

I love the "NYC" on the side of the teapot.

It has polished up beautifully and has some light wear commensurate with age. The interior is spotless for serving.

It measures approx. 5-1/2" tall and 5-5/8" from handle to spout.

It is manufactured by International Silver Co. and stamped, "New York Central." Dated 1949.

Note: there are two identical teapots available. Please check quantity at checkout.
