Rare 19th C. Cliff House, San Francisco Food Cloche/Cover

From Lynn's personal collection, a c. 1880s silver plated food cover from the famous Cliff House in San Francisco. This was acquired from an auction at the Cliff House in the early 1990s.

What is quite rare about this dome is that it is from one of the earlier locations of the Cliff House, most likely the 1880s or earlier.

It has "Cliff House" hand engraved across the side. It measures 12" long by 7-3/4" tall and stands approx. 6-1/2" tall. It has polished up beautifully and is in excellent condition with light surface wear. There is one small ding on the side.

This is quite a special piece of San Francisco history for your collection!
