19th C. French Paper Mache Mother of Pearl Bird Cigar Case

Acquired in France, a beautiful 19th century black lacquer papier mache cigar case with mother of pearl inlay.

The ornate inlay features a bird surrounded with flowers on one side and flowers on the reverse.

This would have been used by a gent to hold cigar during the Victorian era.

It measures 5-3/8" tall by 2-3/8" wide and approx. 3/4" deep. It's in excellent condition with no areas of loss.
