19th C. French Velvet Perfume Casket Box

Rare and gorgeous 19th century (c. 1890s) French velvet perfume casket box.

This beautiful blue velvet, silk-lined carriage-style box has all of the bells and whistles. It has a thick beveled glass front window where you can see the interior. When opening the hinge lock, you can see the reflection of the mirrored back reflecting the perfume bottles.

There are two glass perfume bottles. One of the stoppers doesn't open and the other has a chip under the stopper which is hidden.

The box is in good condition with some little wear on the front of the base. It measures 7" tall when the handle is up, 5-1/2" wide and 4-1/4" deep.

This is an absolutely beautiful and unusual French casket box!
