19th C. Victorian Bois Durci Log Bracelet

Late 1880s Victorian bois durci log bracelet.

Bois durci is French for "hardened wood"-- a faux jet material. It's quite pretty in pitch black.

This wonderful elastic bracelet has been restrung and has a modern clasp. The logs measures approx. 1-7/8" wide.

The bracelet fits an average to large size wrist. The circumference is approx. 7" and the elastic can make it a bit larger.
