Early Shoreland Hotel, Chicago Wine or Ice Bucket
Early 1900s crested silverplated ice or wine bucket from the Shoreland Hotel, Chicago.
The side of this fancy bucket bears a crest with the hotel's name. The rim is quite ornate and the buckle has a thick handle.
It has polished up beautifully with a gorgeous butler's patina. It measures 11" tall to the top of the handle, 6-1/2" tall to the bucket edge, and the opening diameter is 5-3/4". It is quite heavy and solid.
This can be used for small bottles of wine or champagne in addition to ice. Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "The Shoreland".
