Large 1902 Sterling Silver Scottish Sheep Award Pendant Medal

Beautiful large English antique sterling silver award medal pendant for "best sheep".

The ornate metal has gorgeous detail around it with a fancy openwork top. It is engraved on both sides. One side reads, "EAST KILBRIDE OPEN SHOW 1904", and the other side reads, "BEST LEICESTER SHEEP WON BY...". There is no winner engraved. 

The medal measures 2-3/4" tall including the bale by 1-5/8" wide. Total weight is 35.34 grams. British hallmarks on one side.

This would look phenomenal on a worn long on heavy sterling chain or ribbon, or shorter as a true statement piece.
