Rare 1912 English Tortoise Desk Barometer

An extraordinary find!

This beautiful 1912 English tortoiseshell desktop barometer was acquired from an elegant estate.

The tortoise has ornate sterling silver overlay with bows and ormolus. 

It measures 7" by 4" and has an easel back. It's in superb condition and in excellent working order.

The back has the British hallmarks of 1912, set in sterling silver.
