Rare Antique Plaza Hotel, NYC Crested Champagne Bucket

From my personal collection, an extremely rare antique silverplated champagne bucket from the legendary Plaza Hotel in New York City. One of the finest pieces of hotel silver that one could acquire.

It's not often that you come across a double-crested piece from the Plaza. This has the double P crest on both sides of the bucket.

It has polished up beautifully and has a gleaming butler's patina with some light areas of wear. Interior has wear which doesn't affect its use to hold champagne bottles. 

The base measures approx. 8-1/4" in diameter. The opening of the bucket is 7" in diameter. It stands approx. 15-1/4" to the top of the handle. 

This truly gorgeous piece is manufactured by D & H and patented 1907.
