Rare Victorian Amethyst and Pearl Winged Bug Brooch in Silver

Beautiful Victorian c. 1890s flying insect brooch with amethyst and seed pearls set in sterling silver.

Insects were a favorite there of the Victorian era and this is a lovely example. The natural pale amethysts have a beautiful glow and shimmer.

The brooch measures approx. 1-3/4" long by 7/8" wide and has its original c clasp. It's in superb condition with no missing pearls.
