1930s Hotel Claridge, Atlantic City 12" Scalloped Platter

A wonderful find!

This c. 1930 silver plated scalloped platter is from the historic Hotel Claridge in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The hotel and resort opened in 1930 and became the last of the great hotels built in Atlantic City near the Boardwalk.

This gorgeous bright, shiny and deep platter measures 12" in diameter and 1" deep. It's in lovely condition with some light surface scratches. It's manufactured by Wallace and has heavy weight of an early hotel silver piece. The bottom is stamped, "Hotel Claridge Wallace".

A perfect tray for serving just about any dish!
