Antique Ocean Steamship Company Handled Coffee Pot

We rarely come across antique steampship silver, but are thrilled when we do.

This silverplated handled coffee pot is from the Ocean Steamship Company, Savannah, Georgia, (1867-World War II). This was a coastal passenger and freight line serving the southeastern United States, owned by the Central of Georgia Railway to feed freight to the railway's Savannah terminus.

The large pot has the flag logo on the front. It has polished up beautifully and has a small ding on the left side. It measures 6-3/4" tall and 6" wide with the spout. It is 8" long to the end of the handle. The interior has some wear but no silver loss.

Quite a heavy, solid piece manufactured by Reed & Barton.

A wonderful piece for the steamship or hotel silver collector alike!
